Dos and Don’ts for the 20-Mile run:

DOS:

  1. DO:  Create a list or everything you need for your run. Having a list will help alleviate extra stress and ensure you have everything you need for a successful run. Gatorade will be on the course with samples of their products, however it is best to make sure you bring the brands and flavors of nutrition and hydration that work best for you.
  2. DO:  Pack your gear the night before, it will allow you at sleep better and prevent the early morning scramble. Don't forget to include warm dry clothing for after your run.
  3. DO:  Map out how you will get to the start, we recommend public transportation or carpooling
  4. DO:  Be on time (or better yet early). Allow enough time to take care of any pre run rituals and get to the start area on time as we intend to start promptly.
  5. DO: Show up prepared; fueled, hydrated, and mentally focused.
  6. DO: Reach out to your coaches prior to the run if you have any concerns or questions.


DON'TS:

  1. DON’T: Over think things, this is just another progression in your training program, it is not a make or break situation. Be confident and continue to do what has been working for you all season.
